Miami Torture Exhibit

So this weekend I accidentally, drove by  the freedom tower and saw this "grim reaper" looking thing outside that kind of freaked me out, so I decided to pull in.  I walked in trying to wonder what exactly they where trying to showcase here and realized it was a torture exhibit that showed all kinds of torture techniques used throughout history, I thought to myself..."cool, more good ideas" hehe. Well, some really interesting ones that I found were the "interrogation chair", the "vaginal and or rectal pear" and the infamous "Maiden of Nuremberg" All in a ll I think I learned some very interesting torture techniques this past weekend, and anyone interested in learning new ways to kill and or torture people should definitely not miss this opportunity to go and vist this exhibit.

The new "Fundy's" at Club 50 Viceroy Brickell

So I get this message today on my wall on Facebook saying that club 50 the rooftop club above my building is starting to through pool parties on Sunday 50 floors above Miami, I said to myself dam thats pretty cool maybe I can get a better tan if  I'm closer to the sun..haha..anyways I decided to call some friends over to go check it out, at first it started off a little slow, then we started noticing some chicks getting pretty crazy across from us obviously trying to be "attention whores" which they totally deserved it for jumping on top of tables and shaking their Estonian Eastern European G string  asses for everyone. After being their for some hours the girls decided to stop by and flirt with some of us at our table some...the funny thing was that 1 of them decided to give us a brochure promoting their new lap dance bar they worked for..lol..go figure,  they were try to be attention whores, looking for clientel...lol

Out and about at Nikki Beach

If theirs gotta be one place I love, that never gets old with me it has to be Nikki Beach. Nikki Beach has been around since dinosaurs roamed the earth and will continue to stick around even after were long gone and die in 2012.

Nikki Beach defines Miami, were else can you have a sexy atmosphere with day beds, fire pits, indian teepees, bad as food, the best strawberry mojitos north of Havana and great music.

The ultimate bachelor pad Accessory ( the stripper pole)

After careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that the most essential "accessory or tool a bachlor needs) is a striper pole or stage at there home. I recently got out of a 3 year relationship and thought to myself ok, now what......I need to bachlorize my apt... starting with some cool furniture, a kegerator, hookas and a good sound system black lights, strobe lights and now the striping stage. After some brief research and development I have realized that guest that come over naturally gravitate towards the stage. no questions asked... you walk in, and the first thing you do is jump on ...so given this proven test, I think the ROI on these stages yield a high return......;)

Miami International Boat show

So I decided to take a little trip to the Miami international boat show this weekend, wow that place was empty, let me tell you. Over the last couple of years I remember going to the show and seeing it so packed, that It would piss me off to just stay at the show or even just walk around, the only reason why I liked going was to check out the boats and drink that amazing $6 dollars lemonade they offer, but this year, no lemonade stand and half empty island, I could defenetley tell their was a recession going on. Keeping things on the same topic, I also want to mention that I was royally pissed off at the fact that a taxi driver in my own building didint want to drive us to the boat show because it was only a 5-7 dollar cab ride. He had nothing better to do but to sit around and pick his nose for someone else then to drive us to Bayside. Times are rough and an extra dollar is an extra dollar and I just find it stupid that someone would decline to derive us especially being a taxi service.

Super bowl economic impact on South Florida

The saints and colts are in town, money is being spent and South Floridas in full gear. What does this mean, south Florida business will receive an estimated 153 million dollars from super bowl spending, hotels are packed, restaurants are packed, champagne is flowing parties and concert are going and spending is up. This is the kind of economic impact we need more often in the South Florida Area, not only does it help out our local economy and not to mention the hospitality industry but it also continues to promote South Florida as one of the most sought after vacation and entertainment spots in the country.

South Floridas poor service industry

The service industry in South Florida is at the bottom of the food chain. I have been analyzing customer service in South Florida for quite some time now, and came to the conclusion that, most people in South Florida don't really know what is excellent customer service. Throughout my travels over the years, weather it be to other parts of the country, smaller cities and towns or across the globe, I have come to the conclusion that that the service industry is sub par in our region, I don't generally feel the same warmth and personal attention to detail that I may find in other regions. In the service in industry one should provide excellent service, but how many people really go above and beyond the status quo? about 2 years ago I did an extensive research project for one of my professors in were myself and one of my friends checked into five hotels ranging from 3-5 star, we had developed a point system and interviewed top management and line employees in each property and had asked them a serious of questions and based on their answers and our grading system we came to the conclusion not only on our side but from top management at these establishments that South Florida's Service industry was very poor. Several Managers had experience working in other countries and explained to us the difference between staff in other countries and staff here, they mentioned how many people here in South Florida think of the industry as just a job, intern providing , just a service. I believe that in order to really stand out you have to go above and beyond your competitors and leave an amazing lasting impression in your customers mind and if we can work on increasing this mindset perhaps we can increase South Florida's image of having poor service.
